Plugin Primitive

General

After downloading the plugin, simple copy the file primitive.hxt into the HXT directory your A:M installation .
The plugin was originally designed as a working relief for me, and therefor raises far no claim to completeness or accuracy, however it is freeware .

At this time following models can be created with the plugin.

User interface

Gui After starting the plugin in the modellingmode, either with selected object RMB->Plug-ins->Wizards->Primitive (besides, a new model is constructed), or after select a model RMB->Plug-ins->Wizards->Primitive, you can the this user interface.
The type of the to be created spline or model to be created can you select in the lists field in the high left part and after the choice can you see on the right side a symbol of object to be created . The input fields an checkboxes are explained in the part description nearer. In the lower part you can see the number of patches they would be produced, this view is dynamically actualized . A hit on OK construct the model, Abort finished the plugin without any action .

Description

Circle Kreis Kreis_Symbol
Create a circle on the y-axis
Parameter
- Radius XZ
- Segments XZ
Number of the segments (minimum 3, recommended 12)
Remark
You can also create an almost round circle with only 3 segments, while on changes the Magnitude to 270 , new you can compute the magnitude in dependence with number of segments with hitting the pushbutton at the left side of the entryfield .
Spiral Spirale Spirale_Symbol
Create a spiral which rises in the y-direction
Parameter
- Radius XZ
- Segments XZ
Number of segments per winding (minimum 3)
- Height (Y)
Overall height of the spiral, the separate winding high is height/number turns units
- Number of windings
- gradient left/gradient right
gives the direction in which the spiral rises

The type the CP's refers, in this connection, only the CP's by the parameters xyz are created .

Remark
The segment number must be multiple from 4. If another segment number is given,the segment number on multiple from 4 is amended.
E.g., segment number 5 is set on 4, 6 and 7 is set on 8 etc.

With all models active input possibilities

Magnitude in % You can calculate the magnitude with hitting the pushbutton at the left side of the entryfield .
Herewith the magnitude of the CP's to be created can be changed. With it it is to be agreed, e.g., possibly a circle with only 3 segments (4 CP's) rather about. This serves for to all with complex models for the reduction of the number the patches.
Sample spring
With a magnitude of 100 XYZ and segment XZ a value of 12 is to be got with segment necessary around a round spring, with a number of the bends of 1 are 144 Patches, with 2 bends 288 Patches etc this one can reduce while one gives a valueof 12, with segment XYZ a value of 3 and with Magnitude a value of 270 with segment XZ. Then the model has with 1 bend 36 Patches, with 2 bends 72 Patches etc.
