After downloading the plugin , simple copy the file MMoP.hxt into the HXT directory your A:M installation .
The plugin was originally designed as a working relief for me , and
therefor raises far no claim to completness or accuracy, however it is
freeware .
From the choreographie you start the plugin on a selected path or named group (temporary groups doesn't work) with RMB->Plugins->Wizards->Multiple Models on Path.

The view for the dialog is changed based on the selected option for randomize
In the listbox at top of the dialog you select the model that you want import .
When
Randomize is set to "none" the number of copies to import is calculated
from the spline length/distance . There is no overlapping check for the
imported models .
When Randomize is set to "along the path"
are maximal number of models are imported as given in Population . Here
is a overlapping check (only for the bounding box from the model) used
, so it can be that the number of imported models is smaller as given .
The models are randomly placed on the spline contour.
When Randomize is set to "beside the path" are
maximal number of models are imported as given in Population . Here is
a overlapping check (only for the bounding box from the model) used ,
so it can be that the number of imported models is smaller as given .
The models are randomly placed in the area around the spline contour.
With "Store Rotation" checked , the models where rotated , so they fit the direction of the path or spline.
With "Align to ground" checked, the models are placed onto a surface in the Y- direction .A sample , for which things I have programmed this plugin.
